Our hovercraft are powerful and reliable and will really give you a buzz as they manoeuver around the demanding circuits. With simple throttle and steering controls and expert tuition from qualified racing drivers, you’ll have great fun advancing through the various stages of your challenge.

Your hovercraft challenge will involve an initial slalom circuit under close tuition to establish the basic handling skills required, followed by a land section familiarisation before you advance to courses which will take you out onto the lake for the very first time! A small easy circuit will give you a taste of the exhilaration that you can only experience when at the controls of a hovercraft, slipping off the bank and out into the middle of the water with the spray in your face! You will then be presented with additional transitions and land sections, building up your confidence and ability so that you can tackle the big racing circuit!

This experience takes place near Hinckley in the East Midlands on a genuine hovercraft racing circuit. The venue hosts a round of the National Hovercraft Racing Championships each year, organised by the Hovercraft Club of Great Britain Ltd. The hovercraft are Formula Two specification machines with 50hp engines, the most powerful you will find on the self drive experience market. Our instructors are all fully qualified racing drivers with many years of experience and include National, European and World champions and consequently have a passion for hovercrafting which they love to share
