In this team building day you will learn that Chocolate was exclusively for drinking until the early Victorian era, when a technique for making solid 'eating' chocolate was devised. Throughout its history, whether as a cocoa, a chocolate beverage or confectionery treat, chocolate has been an extremely sought after food, which is why this experience is essential for all you ‘chocoholics’.This workshop is designed specifically for groups of 8-200, and consists of demonstrations with hands on designing and making of chocolates. This workshop is designed specifically for groups of 8-200, and consists of demonstrations with hands on designing and making of chocolates. This event can be run in house, in a conference room or a private demonstration kitchen. Provisional itinerary: Guests arrive. There is a brief history of chocolate whilst the guests drink champagne and have an opportunity to sample an assortment of exotic homemade chocolates. Participants get in to groups to make and then pipe Dutch truffles. Each group will create their own chocolate truffle centre using exotic herbs and spices. Demonstrations on how to make chocolate fudge, praline and tempering the chocolate. Each group then has the chance to temper chocolate then use it to cover slabs of fudge and praline. Demonstration of how to cut, dip and decorate the chocolates using various decorations and techniques. The rest of the time is spent cutting, decorating and dipping chocolates. All the necessary equipment is included and each person will be able to take home average of 25 chocolates (truffles, fudge and praline) in a hand tied box. |
