Q: Is this legal and will I really own this land in Scotland?
A: Yes, our documents were drawn up by a Scottish Lawyer and you will own a square foot of Lochaber along with fishing rights over a mile of the River Spean.
Q: How much will this cost me? Are there any hidden extras I will need to pay?
A: The cost of the package is £45.00 including postage and packaging. There are no hidden extras, you will not have to pay any land tax, upkeep charge, or ANY other fees.
Q: Can I pass the land down in my will?
A: Yes Both the land and the title can be passed on by informing us of the name changes.
Q: Does this pack have do be bought for me or can I buy one as a gift?
A: You may buy the pack for whoever you like. As long as you state clearly when you order the name of the recipient if different to your name so the certificate can be made correctly.
Q: Do I need to register this land with the Land Registry?
A: No, there is no need to do that as the size of the land is too small. The Scottish General Register of Sasines (land register) chief Alan W Ramage (Keeper of the Registers of Scotland) states that "under the terms of the Land Registration (Scotland) act 1979 it is quite clear that land which is regarded as a souvenir plot is not acceptable for registration on the Land Register".
Q: Can I build on this land?
A: Unfortunately not, the land is to be kept unspoilt to help preserve Lochaber.
Q: What are the Fishing Rights?
A: One of the unique rights conferred upon you resulting from the purchase of this land is the full non-exclusive fishing rights of approximately a one mile stretch of the mighty River Spean, along side which your plot of land is located. Included in your pack is the number you will need to phone to pre-book your Fishing trip. You will have to make your own way to the estate.
